Download Kitchenplaner

Free and open source, for Windows, macOS and Linux. Current version: 0.1.0 of 15 October 2026.

The apps are not signed with a paid certificate. Windows and macOS therefore warn on the first start; below is how to open them anyway.

Windows

Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit

Download the installer and start it. It installs Kitchenplaner for your user, without administrator rights.
If SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, click “More info” and then “Run anyway”.
Kitchenplaner then appears in the Start menu. To uninstall it, go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps.

macOS 11 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel

Open the disk image and drag Kitchenplaner into the Applications folder.
The app is not notarized, so macOS blocks the first start. On macOS 15 and later, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click “Open Anyway” next to Kitchenplaner. On older versions, right-click the app in the Finder, choose “Open” and confirm with “Open” once more.
If macOS says the app is “damaged”, run this command in the Terminal and start the app again: xattr -cr /Applications/Kitchenplaner.app

x86-64: AppImage for every distribution, .deb for Debian and Ubuntu

Debian and Ubuntu: install the .deb package in your download folder with sudo apt install ./Kitchenplaner_0.1.0_amd64.deb
Other distributions: make the AppImage executable and start it. It needs FUSE 2, on Ubuntu the package libfuse2 or libfuse2t64. chmod +x Kitchenplaner_0.1.0_amd64.AppImage

SHA256SUMS.txt holds the SHA-256 checksums of every file of the release. On Linux, check the downloads in the same folder with

sha256sum -c --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS.txt

To try it out, there is a fully planned restaurant kitchen with 65 positions.
